Out of State Surrogacy Woes

Many times, families don't realize that where their surrogate lives can change their rights even between states in the U.S.

That's what happened to my client, Rishi*. His friend in Arizona agreed to be his surrogate. Arizona doesn't allow surrogacy contracts, even when it's between friends. Something Rishi found out when he went to request an acknowledgement of parentage before his son was born.

Luckily, Georgia allows a parent to request rights to their child before birth so when Rishi had a grady baby, his son was all his.

Now Rishi gets to make aloo paratha for his son every Saturday.

I'm perfect for your single friend who just bought a house with two guest rooms. Ask him what paint colors he's planning to choose.
