The Architect of Peace

Mediation is a great opportunity for people going through divorces to reclaim their agency and control their future.

I was called into a mediation where the parties were stuck in a high-conflict custody battle where trust was non-existent. Drawing on the deescalation techniques I learned while getting my Masters in Social Work, I acted as an intermediary within the mediation that allowed them to give and receive information without triggering a defense response. We moved from "no-contact" to a functional, co-parenting relationship in a single day.

When I say "The devil is in the details," I mean a settlement shouldn't just say what happens, but exactly how it happens when things go wrong.

I’m a great referral for Guardian ad Litem. They keep getting emails from parents who fight over the definition of “emergency”. Ask them how they like to spend their weekends away from the computer.
