Foster Care to Adoption Option

When a client comes to see me, we have an in-depth conversation about their finances and their timelines. Often this means that adoption is the best fit. 

That was the case for Dr. Carter* and her husband. They were long-time foster parents and fell in love with their foster baby. When he was finally eligible for adoption, they called me because I have years of working with DFCS and helping kids get adopted fast. Because Matthew* had been with them since birth and he was now one, we didn't have to do a typical 6-month wait for a DFCS adoption.
